Rep. Ferguson is serving her third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 51 which includes part of Crittenden County.

For the 91st General Assembly, Rep. Ferguson serves as vice-chair of the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor.  She held the position during the 90th General Assembly as well.

For the 91st General Assembly, she also serves on the House Insurance and Commerce Committee, House Rules Committee, and Arkansas Legislative Council.

Women in Government named her as the Arkansas State Director and she serves on the Executive Committee of the National Council of Insurance Legislators. She additionally serves on the National Conference of State Legislators Health Committee and The Council of State Governments Health Committee. 

She has received recognition as an Outstanding Legislator from the Arkansas Medical Society, the Arkansas State Dental Association, the Municipal League, and the Arkansas Body Modification Association.

She practiced dentistry in West Memphis for twenty-five years and is an active member of the Arkansas State Dental Association. She is currently CEO of Medical Center Properties and owner of Arkansas Home Health and Hospice. She previously served as state treasurer and county president for the Arkansas Medical Alliance.

Rep. Ferguson also served as finance chairman of the Junior Auxiliary. She was a member of the Arkansas Arts Council and worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children..

She was awarded "Outstanding Arkansan" by the Arkansas Jaycees and received the "Outstanding Service Award" from the Crittenden County Heart Association.

She is married to Dr. Scott Ferguson and they have three grown children.
