Rep. Jerry Brown of Wynne is serving his third term representing District 57, which includes Cross County and part of Woodruff County. For the 88th General Assembly, Rep. Brown serves as chair for the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee. He also serves on the Joint Budget Committee; Joint Energy Committee; and on the House Education Committee.
For the 87th General Assembly, Rep. Brown was appointed Assistant Speaker Pro Tempore of the House. He served as vice chair of the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee and chaired the committee’s House Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Subcommittee. He was a member of the House Education Committee and the committee’s House Higher Education Subcommittee. He also served on the Joint Committee on Energy, the Joint Budget Committee and the Joint Budget Special Language Committee.
Rep. Brown is a rice and soybean farmer and part owner of Brown Brothers Farms. He is part of the Wynne Rotary Club, as well as Farm Bureau. He and his wife, Carol, are Methodist and have three grown daughters.
