Rep. Ed Garner of Maumelle is serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 41, which encompasses part of Pulaski County.
For the 88th General Assembly, Rep. Garner serves as House chair of the Joint Performance Review Committee. He also serves on the Joint Budget Committee, the House Revenue and Taxation Committee, and the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee.
During the 87th General Assembly, Rep. Garner served on the House Revenue and Taxation Committee, the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Joint Performance Review Committee. For his first term, Rep. Garner was on the Joint Committee for Public Retirement and Social Security Programs, the House Revenue and Taxation Committee, and the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs.
Rep. Garner grew up in McGehee and Little Rock. He received a bachelor's degree from Hendrix College in Conway, and he is a small business owner. Rep. Garner has been involved with the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing and hunting. He and his wife, Ginny, attend the Methodist Church. They have three children.
