Rep. Walls McCrary is serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 14, which includes parts of Lonoke, Jefferson, Arkansas, Pulaski, and Prairie counties.

For the 89th General Assembly, Rep. McCrary serves on the House Public Transportation Committee (where he is vice chair); the Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee; the Joint Committee on Energy; and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee. 

During the 88th General Assembly, Rep. McCrary served on the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, where he chaired the Subcommittee on Educational Institutions. He also served on the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development a Committee and was co-chair of the Subcommittee on Parks and Tourism. In addition, Rep. McCrary served on the House Public Transportation Committee and the Joint Performance Review Committee. He was a non-voting member of the House Revenue and Taxation Committee. During his first term, Rep. McCrary served on the House Committee for Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs, where he chaired the Subcommittee on Legislative, Military, and Veterans Affairs. He also served on the House Public Transportation Committee.

Rep. McCrary graduated from Lonoke High School and earned a degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. A retired business owner and farmer, he has been involved in many community organizations. He has been on the board of the First State Bank of Lonoke, and was chairman of the Bayo Meto Drainage District. In addition, Rep. McCrary was president of the Lonoke School Board, Lonoke Chamber of Commerce, and the Lonoke County Library. He also served on the Lonoke Industrial Development Commission and was treasurer of the Lonoke Cemetery Association.

In his spare time, Rep. McCrary enjoys hunting, sports, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, Emma, attend the Presbyterian Church. They have two grown children.
