Rep. Tim Summers of Bentonville is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 99, which includes part of Benton County.
For the 88th General Assembly, Rep. Summers serves as chair of Legislative Joint Auditing. He also serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council, where he is vice chair of ALC Review. In addition, Rep. Summers serves on the Joint Budget Committee; the House Committee for Aging, Children, Youth , Legislative and Military Affairs; the House Education Committee; the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs; and the Governor's Emergency Fund Review Committee.
For the 87th General Assembly, Rep. Summers served on the House Education Committee and the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee. He was also a member of the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs.
Rep. Summers graduated from Berryville High School, and he attended the University of Arkansas and the University of Tulsa. He and his wife, Peggy, have one daughter.
Rep. Summers is executive director of the non-profit Decision Point. He is a Vietnam-era veteran, and he served three terms on the Bentonville City Council and seven terms on the Benton County Quorum Court before his election to the House. He is a member of Kiwanis Club and the Razorback Club.
