Rep. Linda Tyler of Conway is serving her second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 45, which includes part of Faulkner County.
During the 88th General Assembly, Rep. Tyler serves as chair of the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee. She also serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council, where she chairs the Subcommittee on Federal Stimulus Money. In addition, she serves on the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee and the House Management Committee.
For the 87th General Assembly, Rep. Tyler served on the House Education Committee; the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee; the House Rules Committee, and the Arkansas Lottery Legislative Oversight Committee. She was also a member of the Arkansas Legislative Council.
Rep. Tyler is a longtime business leader. She has also been involved with numerous local, state and national civic organizations. She is a member of the Conway Regional Health Foundation Board, the Faulkner county Library Board, and she is a former board member for the UCA Foundation. She has also served as a board member of the National Kidney Foundation.
Rep. Tyler is a graduate of Lead Hill High School and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She and her husband, Hugh, attend the First United Methodist Church. They have two grown children.
