Rep. David L. Branscum of Marshall is serving his fourth term representing District 83 in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
For the 91st General Assembly, Rep. Branscum serves as co-chair of the Arkansas Legislative Council (ALC) . He served as co-chair of ALC in the 90th General Assembly as well.
He also serves on the House Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee, the House Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committee, and the House Rules Committee.
He is a graduate of Marshall High School, and he has a bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Economics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He has been involved with many civic and community organizations, including the Marshall UFD, Marshall Jaycees, and he was part of the LeadAR program Class 4, for emerging leaders from urban and rural communities across the state.
Rep. Branscum is in the lumber and cattle business. He is a Southern Baptist, and he has five children.
