Rep. David L. Branscum of Marshall is serving his third term representing District 83 in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
For the 90th General Assembly, he serves on the committee for Public Health, Welfare and Labor, the committee for Arkansas Legislative Council, the committee for Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development, the committee for Rules, Joint Budget Committee, Joint Committee on Energy, and the Joint Committee on Economic and Tax Policy.
For the 89th General Assembly, he served on the Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee, the Arkansas Legislative Council and the committee for Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development.
For the 88th General Assembly, he served on the House Judiciary Committee. He is also a member of the House City, County and Local Affairs Committee.
He is a graduate of Marshall High School, and he has a bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Economics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He has been involved with many civic and community organizations, including the Marshall UFD, Marshall Jaycees, and he was part of the LeadAR program Class 4, for emerging leaders from urban and rural communities across the state.
Rep. Branscum is in the lumber and cattle business. He is a Southern Baptist, and he has five children.
