Rep. Joseph Scott Baltz is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 61, which includes portions of Baxter, Sharp, Randolph and Fulton counties.
For the 90th General Assembly, he serves on the committee for Education, the Legislative Arkansas Blue Ribbon Committee on 911 systems, Joint Committee on Energy, Joint Performance Review Committee, Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission Oversight Committee, Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, Academic Facilities Oversight Committee, the committee for Insurance and Commerce and committee for Arkansas Legislative Council.
During the 89th General Assembly, he served on the Public Transportation Committee and the City, County, and Local Affairs Committee.
Rep. Baltz is the fire chief for the city of Pocahontas. He previously served at Justice of the Peace in Randolph County. He serves on the board for the Randolph County Hospital. In his spare time, he likes to hunting, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren.
