Rep. David Meeks of Greenbrier is serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 70, which includes part of Faulkner and Perry County.

For the 90th General Assembly, he serves on the committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs, the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs, the committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor, the Arkansas Legislative Council, the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace Legislative Oversight Committee, the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, and the Health Reform Legislative Task Force.

For the 89th General Assembly, he served on the Judiciary Committee. Meeks served as Chairperson on the committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs. He also served on the Arkansas Legislative Council.

For the 88th General Assembly, he served on the Joint Performance Review Committee, the committee on Public Transportation, and the committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs.

Rep. Meeks served in the military, where he earned the Army Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and former area governor of Toastmasters International. He attended Greenbrier High School and Wolfson High School, and he earned a bachelor's degree in pastoral ministries from Trinity Baptist College.

He attends Bible Baptist Church, where he is a Sunday school teacher.
