Rep. Reginald Murdock is serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 48, which includes parts of Lee and St. Francis counties.
For the 90th General Assembly, he serves on the Joint Budget Committee, the Academic Facilities Oversight Committee, the Health Reform Legislative Task Force, the committee on Education and he serves as the Vice Chair for the committee on Insurance and Commerce.
For the 89th General Assembly, he served as the Vice Chairperson on the committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor. He served on the committee on Insurance And Commerce and the Joint Budget Committee.
For the 88th General Assembly, he served on the committee on Public Transportation, where he chaired the Subcommittee on Rail. He also served on the Joint Performance Review Committee, the Joint Committee on Economic and Tax Policy and the committee on Insurance and Commerce. He was a non-voting member of the committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs.
Rep. Murdock is a graduate of Lee High School in Marianna and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he earned a degree in industrial engineering. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He works as an engineer and contractor. In his free time, he enjoys all sports, reading, and traveling. He and his wife, Willie, have one daughter.
