Rep. Karilyn Brown is serving her first term in the Arkansas House. She represents District 41 which includes portions of Pulaski County.
For the 90th General Assembly, she will serve on the Public Transportation Committee, the committee for Aging, Children & Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs, Joint Committee on Energy, the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs, Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, and the Task Force on Substance Abuse Prevention.
Rep. Brown previously served as a Justice of the Peace in Pulaski County. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas Little Rock with a degree in Professional Technical Writing.
She enjoys reading, gardening and travel. She is married to Lawrence Brown and has one son, William C. Peterson.
