Rep. Brandt Smith is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 58 which includes a portion of Craighead County.
For the 91st General Assembly, Rep. Smith serves on the House Judiciary Committee where he chairs the Corrections and Criminal Law Permanent Subcommittee. He also serves on the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee and Joint Performance Review.
Rep. Smith is an associate professor at the American Military University. He has been awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Superior Civilian Service Award and the Department of Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
Rep. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts from National Louis University, Master of Arts from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and his PhD from Capella University.
He is a father of four and resides in Jonesboro with his wife, Gailia.
