Nelda Speaks

Rep. Nelda Speaks is serving her fourth term in the Arkansas House. She represents District 100 which includes a portion of Baxter County. 

For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Speaks serves as Co-Vice Chairperson of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee. She also serves on the House Education Committee, the House State Agencies and Govt’l Affairs Committee, and the House Management Committee.

Rep. Speaks previously served as the Baxter County Treasurer and a Justice of the Peace in Baxter County.

She is a graduate of Draughon’s Business College and Rhema College. Rep. Speaks is a member of the Baxter County Republican Party, the Twin Lake Republican Women’s Group, and the National Rifle Association.

She is a mother of one daughter and resides in Mountain Home with her husband Benny.
