Biography
Rep. Danny Watson is serving his fourth term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 88 which includes all of Hempstead and portions of Miller and Howard counties.
For the 94th General Assembly, Rep. Watson serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committee. Rep. Watson also serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council.
Rep. Watson attended Louisiana Tech University. He is a graduate of the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. He spent 15 years in law enforcement. He also had a career as a director of safety for a trucking company.
Rep. Watson served on the school board for Hope School District.
He is a member of the Hope Kiwanis Club, Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, and the Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board of directors for Southwest Arkansas Development Housing Inc.
Rep. Watson resides in Hope with his wife Judy. He has two grown children and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to new places.
