Biography
Rep. Keith Slape is serving his second term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 83 which includes portions of Boone, Carroll, Newton, Pope, and Searcy County.
For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Slape serves as Vice-Chairperson of the House Rules Committee. He also serves on the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, and the House City, County & Local Affairs Committee.
Rep. Slape is a retired Sheriff and previously served for six terms in Newton County. He graduated with an A.A.S in criminal justice from North Arkansas College. He was awarded the Model of Distinguished Service by the Arkansas Sheriff Association and was the Kiwanis Officer of the Year.
Rep. Slape is the past president of the Arkansas Sheriffs Association. He is also the founder of the Paige Slape Memorial Scholarship.
