Rep. Steven Walker is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 27, which includes Newton, Searcy, and Izard counties and a portion of Baxter and Stone.
For the 95th General Assembly, Rep. Walker serves on the House Education Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committee. He also serves on the Joint Budget Committee.
Rep. Walker was born in Salem and raised in Brockwell. He has a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Science in Mid-Level Education from Arkansas State University, and an Associate of Arts in General Education from Ozarka College.
He works as a digital learning coordinator with the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative. Rep. Walker attends the Church of Christ.
