Biography

Rep. Wayne Long is serving his second term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 39, which includes a portion of White, Jackson, and Independence Counties.

For the 95th General Assembly, Rep. Long serves on the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.

Prior to being elected to the House in 2022, Rep. Long served two terms as Justice of the Peace on the Jackson County Quorum Court.

Rep. Long was born and raised in Faulkner County. Following graduation from Mayflower High School, Wayne attended the University of Central Arkansas to study Business Administration.

Rep. Long and his wife, Jan, have three adult sons and currently reside in Bradford. He also operates a farm at his residence and is a small business owner.

He is of the Messianic faith and enjoys learning and reading about history, economics, and the Bible.
