Biography
Rep. Kim Hammer of Benton is serving his fourth term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 28, which includes part of Saline County.
For the 91st General Assembly, Rep. Hammer serves on the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee, the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Arkansas Legislative Council.
For the 90th General Assembly, he served as chairperson of the Joint Performance Review Committee. For the 89th General Assembly, he served as chair of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
Rep. Hammer was raised in Damascus, Arkansas. He graduated from Southside High School in Bee Branch, and Trinity College of Bible in Newburgh, Indiana. He works as hospice chaplain at Saline Memorial Hospital. He has been involved with several community organizations, including the Benton Booster Club. He received the Minute Man Award from the Arkansas National Guard, and the Pinnacle Award from MSMS in Little Rock.
In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Karen, attend the First Baptist Church in Benton. They have three children.
