Meet the Speaker

On behalf of all 100 House Members, we are pleased to unveil ArkansasHouse.org, a comprehensive Website geared toward increasing the public's access to the legislative process in the House of Representatives.  As we plow new ground with the state's first-ever Fiscal Session, for the first time, we will also be live streaming  video and audio from the House floor and House committees.  We hope to give even more Arkansans a chance to follow the work of their House of Representatives.

Representative Robbie Wills (D-Conway) serves as Speaker of the House for the 87th General Assembly, which convened January 12, 2009, in regular session in Little Rock.  He will preside over the state's first fiscal session, which convenes February 8, 2010.

Representative Wills has served in the Arkansas House of Representatives since January, 2005, and is in his third and final term.  Speaker Wills represents House District 46 – a part of Faulkner County.
Speaker Wills also serves as a member of the House Revenue and Taxation Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee.  As Speaker, he also holds seats on the Arkansas Legislative Council, the Joint Budget Committee and the House Management Committee.

Representative Wills is an attorney and businessman. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Arkansas and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.  Before his election to the House in 2004, Mr. Wills served as a Faulkner County Justice of the Peace.
