Rep. Stephen Magie is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 72, which include a portion of Faulkner County.
For the 90th General Assembly, Rep. Magie will serve on the committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs, the committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor, the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace Legislative Oversight Committee, and the Joint Committee on Constitutional Amendments.
For the 89th General Assembly, he served on the Judiciary Committee; the committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development, and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
He graduated from Morrilton High School. He also attended the University of Central Arkansas, Louisiana State University Medical School, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Rep. Magie is a member and past chairman/ president of the Arkansas Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Conway Downtown Partnership, the Conway Airport Advisory Committee, the Faulkner County Medical Society, the Pulaski County Medical Society, and the Conway Morning Optimist.
He likes to fly, turkey hunt, and camp in his spare time. He is married and has two sons and two daughters.
