Rep. Charlene Fite is serving her second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represents District 80, which includes portions of Crawford and Washington counties.
For the 90th General Assembly, she serves as Vice-Chair for Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee. Rep. Fite also serves on the committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor, the Arkansas Legislative Council, the State and Public School Life and Health Insurance Program Legislative Task Force, Joint Committee on Advanced Communications and Information Technology, the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, the Rural Fire Departments Study Committee, and the Joint Performance Review Committee. In addition to her work on legislative committees, Rep. Fite serves on the Supreme Court Committee for Child Support.
During the 89th General Assembly, she served on the Judiciary Committee and the Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs.
Rep. Fite earned her Master’s in Education at the University of Arkansas.
She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and a Christian Women’s Job Corp mentor. She served 2 terms on the Executive Board at the Arkansas Baptist Convention. She has 5 children and enjoys singing, reading, and travel in her free time.
