The Governor has called for a special session to begin at 1 pm tomorrow. The General Assembly will address budgetary adjustments to respond to the impact of this health emergency.

The Governor announced today he will issue a directive to limit social gatherings to 10 people or less. This has previously been guidance from the Department of Health.

The Governor also announced that the state medical board and state nursing board have expedited the licensing process. Close to 100 new doctors and 300 new nurses have received their licenses this month.

The state is facing an unprecedented amount of unemployment claims. The Governor says efforts are being made to improve the hotline and reduce wait times.
